vegan apple pie (birthday editon)

From Mary and Vincent Price’s “Treasury of Great Recipes” with a Bobo touch:

Combine:

  • 5 cups sliced tart apples with
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch (3-4 Table spoons)
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon each of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice
  • a pinch of fresh chopped ginger
  • a tiny splash of vanilla.

Fill pie (2-pack vegan pie crust from whole foods—one for the base and one for the top) and dot with butter and cut to vent.

Bake at 400 F for 45 minutes.

Enjoy!
